| Refrigerants |
| Refrigerants are the working fluids in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumping systems. They absorb heat from one area, often an indoor space, and reject it to another, usually outside, via a process of evaporation and condensation. Refrigerants are classified into the following 5 categories: |
CFC (high ozone depleting and global warming gases) |
HCFC (low ozone depleting and global warming gases) |
HFC (zero ozone depleting and high global warming gases) |
HC (zero ozone depleting and low global warming gases) |
NIK (zero ozone depleting and negligible global warming gases) |
| The production and use of refrigerants are highly regulated by: |
Montreal Protocol - regulating production and use of Ozone Depleting Substance |
Kyoto Protocol - regulating use and emissions of Global Warming Gas |
Local Environmental Protection |
| India being a signatory to the Montreal Protocol, the use of CFCs would be required to be phased out by 2010 and that of HCFCs by 2040. Thus the need to search for HFCs, HCs and NIKs. |
| BOC Refrigerants R134a |
| BOC is pleased to announce introduction of the BOC Refrigerants R134a, an HFC product, in India after successful launches worldwide. The product has been widely appreciated for it’s purity and user friendly packaging across geographies and has been patronized by leading players in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry. | CARE RANGE |
| CARE is the trade name for BOC Refrigerants. CARE refrigerants are a range of natural hydrocarbon (HC) refrigerants selected and formulated as replacements for CFC, HCFC and HFC refrigerants for use in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Naturally occurring pure hydrocarbon gases have been harnessed to create the CARE range. CARE have a zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and a low global warming potential (GWP). |
| Key Benefits |
Very short atmospheric lifetime thereby reducing impact on the environment if they are released to atmosphere. |
Can be used in most typical refrigeration and air conditioning applications with the exception of VRF systems and certain other distributed a/c. |
Ideal for replacing R12 and R134a in systems like drinks dispensers and bottle coolers |
| BOC looks forward to partnering your business for the supply of CARE 10 & CARE 30 products. |

| Fire Suppressants |
The proper planning, implementation, disaster recovery and risk mitigation are key issues of managing a successful business. A fire can be devastating to your business causing irreparable damage to your physical assets and valuable data. Hence any critical infrastructure needs to be equipped with a gas based fire suppression system that will act efficiently and quickly to suppress fire, minimizing potential damage.

BOC India Ltd. a Seventy-year-old Company of BOC Group, U.K. is renowned in Quality and Safety. BOC India is committed to provide advanced fire suppression solutions that meet the global standards and certifications. The BOC Group has operations in more than 50 countries worldwide.
In line with today’s trend of keeping thing smaller and more efficient, BOC India is proud to present BOC FS125, a UL Listed clean agent system that is supported locally complete with stock and a UL approved filling station at Navi Mumbai, Taloja MIDC.
India being a signatory to the Montreal Protocol, the use of CFCs would be required to be phased out by 2010 and that of HCFCs by 2040. Thus the need to search for HFCs, HCs and NIKs. |

| BENEFITS OF BOC FS125 |
| Technically Advanced Extinguishing Agent |
| The BOC FS125 system uses NAF S125 as a Fire Extinguishing agent. NAF S125 is an ideal extinguishing agent for Class A, B, C fires. NAF S125 is a technically advanced extinguishing agent for total flooding systems. The agent is unique because it contains an additive that improves the extinguishing performance and is proven to minimize the quantity of decomposition by products generated during a fire. |
Maximum Safety for Environment
NAF S125 is in compliance with global environmental regulations, as it has zero ozone deletion potential.
Maximum Safety for Personnel
NAF S125 is considered to be safe for use in occupied & unoccupied areas according to NFPA 2001. |
Maximum Safety for Electrical & electronic equipment
NAF S125 is electrically non-conductive agent, hence it has no impact on electronics or electrical equipment. |
| ADVANTAGES OF BOC FS125 FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM |
Better extinguishing performance & Maximum Speed of Extinguishing.
In the past, Halon 1301 was most popular due to its effectiveness at extinguishing fires. NAF S125 has similar physical properties to Halon 1301 since it exhibits all performance characteristics of Halon 1301 without the negative environmental effects.
The BOC FS125 system is the most efficient zero ozone depleting agent currently available in the market. For Class A fires, it requires 20% less gas by weight than comparable agents in the market. |
Maximum Design Flexibility
The BOC FS125 system has the flexibility to operate at temperature ranging from -180C to 540C. The system is designed at a working pressure of 42 bar, thus allowing a greater ability to deal with complex piping design and further cylinder storage distance from the protected area. |
| Minimum Space and Height occupation |
| With high land and rental cost, floor space is an important and precious factor for any business, hence it should be utilized in the best ways. Due to better extinguishing performance, the BOC FS125 system provides savings in terms of space occupied by the system, as it requires less quantity of gas equating to less quantity or smaller cylinders. This results in long term savings as well over the life cycle of the system due to reduced maintenance costs. |
| Engineered Systems |
| The BOC FS125 system uses UL Listed software to design the system. The Software calculates the system to optimize the design and customize it to your specific application. |
